JOHNNY VAN ROOYEN
MANAGING- AND SALES DIRECTOR
Johnny owned a successful two-way communications business in South Africa for 18 years and with that knowledge and experience in mind, he and his wife, Marjorie van Rooyen, moved to Australia. With a vision and a plan, Trans Communications was founded by the couple in 2002. Now, 14 years later, the business is stronger than ever and bringing exceptional service to Queensland's largest projects, emergency services, construction groups and local companies. Johnny's service to his customers is always that of respect, dignity and enthusiasm.
MARJORIE VAN ROOYEN
As head of accounting services at Trans Communications, Marjorie works efficiently, respectfully and enthusiastically in endeavouring to treat our clients as kings. With a Bachelor in Law and 10 years experience, Marjorie adds a unique perspective to the way in which we conduct our business and treat our clients. As co-founder and wife to Johnny van Rooyen, Marjorie will ensure that transactions run efficiently and smoothly.
John is a welcome addition to our sales team this year. He is a local from Brissy and is easy going and very approachable. His experience of over 20 years within the sales profession ensures that he has the ability to provide you with a personalised and effective solution. John is extremely enthusiastic about supplying you with quality product at the best possible price and he will endeavour to achieve this for every customer.
WORKSHOP RELATIONS OFFICER/TECHNICIAN
As our vision for 2017 and forward is to “go beyond merely communicating”, AJ has been appointed to assist you with all your queries regarding Workshop Services, be it; installations, service/repairs to your equipment, maintenance or any questions you may have in respect of your equipment. AJ is there to offer excellent technical customer service and you are invited to give him a call at any time and to put him to the test.
AJ has 10 years’ experience in the mining- and private sector and more specifically in leaky feeder systems. He is therefore more than able to deliver expert technical services in this area (amongst others).
JOHAN VAN GRAAN
SENIOR ELECTRONIC TECHNICIAN
With over 20 years experience in the industry, Johan is dedicated to making sure that each product is programmed, installed and maintained to the highest expectation.
Due to Johan’s years of experience, he will be able to give you expert technical support and advice on systems. Amongst other systems that Johan has designed and has been involved in, Johan was involved in the design and installation of both the Legacy Way- and Gladstone tunnel systems and therefore has extensive knowledge about tunnel systems. He was also involved in the design and installation of two-way radio equipment in the Holland America fleet of Cruise Ships and several airports around Australia.
ZELTIE VAN GRAAN
CREDITORS- AND STOCK CONTROLLER
Zeltie functions as both Stock Controller and Creditors Clerk to the company. Zeltie brought her many years and extensive experience as Managers of Fuel Stations to our company. Zeltie was initially employed as our Receptionist and Secretary to Johnny and served in this role for one year.

CUSTOMER SERVICE- AND MARKETING EXECUTIVE
With her extensive university education and training, Sylvia fills the role of Customer Service- and Marketing Executive, bringing in new ideas to the customer service and marketing side of the business. When you contact Sylvia, you will see a bubbly, friendly person who always attends to your enquiries and needs quickly and appropriately.
Sophie is our Customer Service and Marketing Assistant. She combines her considerable experience in customer service with her education in marketing to provide a fresh approach to the position. She is also the secretary to the Managing Director and the first point of call at the reception desk. She is a friendly and welcoming person who is always ready to help connect you with any professional help and information that you may require.
